I was a month out when i got my interview but I'm fairly sure they should still call you the other guy is right though a lot of 121 experience coming through. I do not see this being a problem for anyone though. PDT wants to double in size so they will need a lot of qualified pilots from all kinds of backgrounds.

I thought that "wheels falling off" hint was a dead giveaway. Republic though. A lot of my class mates thought I was nuts.

I interviewed with 5 other guys including an retired AF guy and a young Army helo guy. I think everyone was offered a job, but not completely sure. I was the only one with over 1000 121 time. So I'm sure there is a lot it 121 experience coming through, but not in my interview group. Is anybody here scheduled for the Aug 17 class?

Yes but I'm not going to say 'told You so.' Piedmont was bad off when people left. Glad to see those that stuck it out get rewarded.

It's all a gamble, totally got the point...but why go to republic? They been struggling as well. If you live in one of their bases I get the reason why too...but go to republic + commuting...totally not worth it.

I get the reason those who went to compass, fast upgrade and growth, but those went to republic...(don't get it.)

I have a question for those of you that use flight benefits for pleasure. Have you ever traveled to Europe and is it possible to get positive space seats at some sort of discount? Or is it all space available and how difficult is it to coordinate? Just thinking ahead for myself and gf....
Thanks

U can buy a confirmed seat for a little discount...but I never had big problems non-reving. Use your vacation pass which give u highest boarding priority for standbys, plus we can fly on AA metal now...so u have plenty of options.

I totally agree Viper but once many gazed their eye's on that E-Jet they were hooked. Everyone wants to fly that big airplane but at the end of the day it's QOL and money in your checking account. I got why people left her a few years ago. Piedmont didn't have a new contract, no planes on order, planes timing out, shrinking, nobody would come here, pilots not knowing if they'd have a job in 2 years. It was a tough place to be 2 years ago. Now not so much!
I remember one FO tell me he was leaving because he was embarrassed to tell people what kind of plane he flew!! Really??? My response was I'd be more embarrassed telling people what I made flying the E175.
Wonder how he's doing now???
We are enjoying this ride we are on now! Lots of blood and sweat at this airline and it's nice to see it grow and hopefully become one of the top regionals it used to be.
