So I interviewed with PDT last Wed in CLT. Went great and I was offered the position! Any idea as to what is going on with the base announcement? This will play a large factor into my decision... They told us that the announcement could come this week. But they said that three weeks ago. Anyone know anything??
Thanks
Thanks

285*.8 = 228
228/36 = 6.33 years at the current rate.
It seems that it doesn't drop to less than 5 UNLESS there is growth.
Is the flow really 3-5 years at Pdt?
5 years is pretty accurate as of right now. There are approximately 285 pilots left on the current list. If 20 percent of that list decline flow or are ineligible at 36 per year you are around 4.8 years for the most junior eligible pilot. As we grow, flow increases to 48 and 60 per year at 475 and 600 pilots respectively, if we can attract that many. Upgrades will soon be at 2 years or slightly less.

[QUOTE=boiler07;1923562]However, my math is based on eligible pilots. The 285 includes several on leave and keep in mind that a new hire is not eligible to flow in their first year and a Captain upgrade has the same one year lock out. That would exclude an additional 120+ pilots at any given snapshot of time.

You should because they will eventually come of the lock and be eligible. New upgrades and new hire won't flow with the year anyway.

Two questions:
Are there ways via some sort of trip swapping to string together many days off, for example 7-10 days in a row?
And,
Are there situations where a relative new hire with ATP and plenty of 121 time be upgraded prior to someone who has as yet not collected that time? Any guesses to time to upgrade for a person with qualifications with the current number of pilots in house?
Thanks for the input...
