JK is still director of training but he and MM will have their hands full with all the 145 program development, so they brought in MK (who is already regional chief pilot) to run the Dash 8 program for the time being. That's what I get from reading that memo anyways.

There are a lot of new Instructors now and their attitudes are all very positive and constructive.
PDT wants you to suceed. While some may feel the training is too long, there's no rush, take my word for it.

MK being the director of dash 8 training is absolutely FANTASTIC and is a huge step in the right direction for the training dept here.

3/3/2015 (Salisbury, MD) Piedmont Airlines will pay qualified employees to build pilot flight hours in a new program called “Piedmont Flyers.”
The company has announced that any Piedmont employee within 300 hours of the minimum FAA requirements for commercial airline pilots can interview for a spot in the Piedmont Flyers program. If accepted, he or she will be given a conditional offer of employment as a first officer, and Piedmont will assist financially with his or her remaining flight hours.
“We have great employees, and we want them to stay and fly with us after they build up enough hours,” said Michelle Foose, vice president, Human Resources. “If we can help them get those hours more quickly by paying for it, it’s really a win for everyone involved.”
Piedmont will reimburse Flyers participants up to $130 for every flight hour accrued up to 300 hours. Flyers have one year to complete the hours. Flyers will be asked to work as a Piedmont pilot one year for every 100 hours of reimbursed flight time.
“It’s an ideal time to join us as a pilot,” said Steve Keefer, vice president, Flight Operations. “We have the (EMB-145) jets coming at the end of the year, new pilots can expect a two year upgrade or less, and we have no-interview flow to American Airlines that will only increase as we expand. So in theory, an employee who begins flight training at Piedmont today could be flying for American Airlines in five to seven years. There’s no faster pathway.”
For information, Piedmont employees can contact Human Resources at [email protected]. Anyone who would like to apply to Piedmont Airlines for an opportunity to join the Flyers can find current job openings here.

Do we know yet if the new FMS in the 100s will be dual UNS? The universal press release made it seem like they would be since it mentioned approach capability. I believe you need a dual installation for that.
To answer the previous question, all a/c currently have a single FMS installation. Google "KNS 660", that's what we have in the 100s. Less and less a/c have a moving map now that they are replacing the old radars with new ones that are not compatable with the old 660. So yea, the G1000 crowd will be a little shocked at how we operate.
