you'll get different answers from different people, but the biggest complaints are lack of line purity (lines mixed with am/pm trips, or trips starting early ending late), days off: not enough of them, and too many 2 day breaks

It isn't that bad. You will have excelIent boarding priority. I would recommend MDT, ROA, or CHO. You can also use other airlines there and I know ROA and MDT have the FedEx/UPS option. I have heard from some friends in MDT that there is a train from PHL-MDT if absolutely necessary. I've been commuting several years, and rarely have any snags...just plan ahead.

Yes I think the benefits outweigh the schedules and I'm pretty sure there will be big changes soon especially when the RJ's start showing up.
Yes there are other airlines out there but Piedmont getting hired this year won't be a bad deal at all.

Training Dept. sinks to new low.
The three stooges(Keen, Pfiefle and Modlin) are apparently deciding who will fail checkrides before they even show up to training. They were over heard in Keen's office discussing it by a crew member. Nice going stooges. Just when everyone thought you couldn't sink any lower.
