5 airlines? AAG only owns 3. Can't merge seniority lists of airlines you don't own full outright, even then it's difficult.

I count five, maybe even six

1) AWA
2) US Airways
3) AA
4) PSA
5) PDT
6) EGL

The top three still haven't been merged

I'm sorry, I thought we were having a realistic conversation, not fantasy one.

The regionals and mainline will never merge seniority lists. Why you ask? Because the company has no reason to get rid of their B scale airlines that are now voluntarily taking C scale concessions (even while making record breaking profits mind you).

Who knows, someday PSA, PDT, and EGL will merge airlines and seniority lists. (EGL is way more senior btw, I would wait till the 824 are gone)

10 years from now after a couple of dozen court battles, settlements, mediation, and arbitrations, maybe even AWA, AA, and USAir will merge their seniority lists.

Regional airlines are simply nothing more than a B pay scale, that's all they are.

When you sign deals like this, you provide positive feedback to a broken system. Your reward? Guess what pal, you get to sit a few years longer at the regional. Why would you want to put yourself through this?

Regional pilots need to make it difficult for the airline. Mainline does this because it is so lucrative. But if there is nothing in it for them than they say screw it and take the flying back.
I nominate this ^^^^^^^^^ as "post of the thread" well said sir, well said indeed!!

I'm at 4th year pay at eagle. If PDT sign this deal I will be making more than their 4th year FO makes in 2023. Not to mention their health insurance premiums will almost double in the next few years if this is signed. I hope my alpa brothers and sisters at PDT see through this BS contract before they sign it. DUI Dougie makes more in two days than I make in a full year.

39 dollars at eagle is more than 43 dollars at pdt? Not sure how accurate the pay rates are on here but your fo pay tops at 42 does it not?

Pdt has been the one holding the line for decades, refusing to undercut for jets, did you not know psa's jets were originally supposed to be for pdt many years ago until they in desperation offered concessions to recover the jets. Pdt is 3 years from disappearing for holding the line for so long, hence the industry leading prop contract that is better than half of jet contracts out there. They have refused to refleet pdt for years because of this, our NC has refused to settle and they have run out if time, thanks to all the other wonderful jet operators out there Mesa psa gojet etc. I'm not a fan of this deal but at the same time what the hell would you do? Turn it down the lights go out, we're 350 pilots barely a drop in the bucket in this industry, psa endeavor etc have made it this way stop pointing the finger at pdt, oh not to mention Republic has been flying 170's for years at a worse contract than pdt already has, why is noone mad at them?

PDT has a choice.
Vote yes and have a job.
Or vote No and die.

I'm sure everyone would gladly vote no if those saying hold the line will pay their mortgage.
