When the mandated retirement age was 60.....ALG had what was called a bridge that paid what social security would pay until you hit 65, and then social security would kick in (if you so selected) and the bridge ends......when the retirement age of 65 was rammed down pilot's' throats, there was a paragraph that stated under no circumstances was this age extension to change any agreement, contract, or current operating practises between labor and management unless a new contract was agreed to........also, this new age extension was not to cause any hardship for pilot groups.........PDT management said on the day the age 65 became affective, there was no more bridge.....a blatant violation....of course, thanks to ALPA and lawyers, this grievance hearing has been delayed and dodged for years....

Ask any envoy pilot if it was worth "holding the line" and "stand strong". That argument would've stand if PSA & Pinnacle would've voted NO but they didn't.
Its easy to dissolve a so much small number of pilots(PDT) than a large group like envoy.
Vote for whats best for you and don't pay attention to bitter envoy pilots that played the game and lost.

By signing 12/4 cap you're harming the rest of the regional industry. You don't want 12/4 cap nor the airplanes. We want mainline to do the flying, NOT the regionals. Who do you think have to operate the planes/routes if we keep say no? M....line.
You say no, and they will merge you guys with one of the other wholly owned and your chance of flowing will be greater and faster. You say yes, you will still be merged with one of the wholly owned PLUS harming the whole regional industry for the next 10++ years
Look at the big picture, don't let them fool you with a few shiny jets

Letter of Agreement 19 - Jet Aircraft.pdf
Here is a part I find interesting....
Under the The Placement of EMB-175 Aircraft at Piedmont Airlines section.
The commitments in this paragraph 2 are predicated on meaningful participation in Jet
Aircraft Negotiations by other labor groups at Piedmont. The commitment for EMB-175
aircraft herein is contingent upon reaching acceptable agreements with the AFA-represented
Flight Attendants and the IBT-represented Mechanics and related employee groups.

To what end? What if they keep coming for concessions and threatening to shut you down each time? AAG will make BILLIONS in FY2014. W

FLOW
Your flow agreement is a joke.
or (b) three (3) New Pilot Positions (increased by 1 for every 125 pilots
above the base number of 350 on the Piedmont seniorty list)
soo... 36 pilots per year IF they hire every month. That will only take 10 years for the most junior pilot on the list to make it to AA/US airways.
Assuming you get 20 airplanes and don't lose a single dash (not possible), would make you at 550 pilots. At most you will get 48 people per year. Which equates to OVER 10 years to flow.
This is also assuming everyone on the list will flow... yes there will be some lifers, but I guess only the top 20%. So still OVER 8 years.
If you guys vote yes... that is the pure definition of SJS. FLUSH THIS TURD DOWN THE TOILET!

Regional airlines are simply nothing more than a B pay scale, that's all they are.
When you sign deals like this, you provide positive feedback to a broken system. Your reward? Guess what pal, you get to sit a few years longer at the regional. Why would you want to put yourself through this?
Regional pilots need to make it difficult for the airline. Mainline does this because it is so lucrative. But if there is nothing in it for them than they say screw it and take the flying back.
