Sounds more like "Yes" justification and resignation than what many perceive as doing the right thing or holding the line. Is your pilot group really that beaten up that there is no fight left?
Will the rest of the regional industry let it slide?
As yourself, years from now when you run into a PSA pilot now at mainline... How will you feel about them then? How will a XJT, EGL, or RAH feel about you?
Its a two sided coin, you can't have it both ways.

Really???? That would be like me not liking Mesa, TransStates, ConEx, all those that took less then we did back in the day. We held the line while regional after regional expected flying RJ's for less. Eagle at one time was even one of them.
It's the regional airlines! You want to point fingers then look to ALPA. It's a big Club and we (regionals) ain't in it.

I don't know why you PDT guys are even bothering to respond to the bitter Envoy guys who torpedoed their careers. They're not rational or intelligent, just angry and loud. Unless you're getting entertainment from their childish attacks, my advice is to forget this forum, vote yes, and enjoy the ride. These same guys will be swinging gear for you at AA in all likelyhood.

I think I remember Eagle signing a crappy 10 year deal many years ago in turn they were allowed tons of growth. I remember everyone running around saying, "I can't believe they signed a 10 year deal like that!" Anyone else remember that???? Unless your hands are clean it's hard to point fingers.

I don't know who you work for but I fly with a lot of guys who worked for PSA. They flew 727's and 146's up and down the west coast. They all still live out there and commute, what little energy they have left after commuting to red eyes all month is spent on the "overnight", not worrying about the people HR is hiring.
Do your time, GTFO.
Guys, you need to realize once you move on no one gives a $#%^ where you came from. Everyone is just incredibly happy we are hiring more people!
This whole "bettering the industry" is a joke. It's never going to happen. There are more NewCo's, Silver's, Gojet's, etc. around the corner with zero longevity pay/vacation/benefits. Just as fast as they come, they also go. The smart guys realize the commuters have zero leverage and go in with eyes wide open.
How much per hour is the difference in first year pay at the worst regional vs. the best? Maybe $10/hr? In 2016 Meyers could be a 3rd year F/O making almost $160/hr on the 330. The amount of money we are talking about is "peanuts" and I mean that almost literally!
Use the commuters like they use you. Get in, get out.

I'm so apathetic to the Stop the Whipsaw cause now. I've got a bunch of FNGs with SJS from Republic and Envoy telling me how I should vote. ALPA National and our individual union leadership have failed us. The RLA keeps our hands tied in this fight. **** it. I'm moving on ASAFP.
