I'm not saying they are.

Mrobvious said that PDT is small enough to be shutdown while apparently PSA isn't, when in fact they are basically the same size.

I don't see PDT voting down a contract that includes raises (even if lower than other jet operators) a flow similar to what was offered to Eagle (which I assume will be included) and new aircraft to refleet them. I could be wrong but it seems like quite a stretch for them to turn something like that down.
Republic just did exactly that, and by 85%

It didn't have a flow thru; but seriously, with the amount of hiring just beginning at all mainlines, none of you will need a flow thru unless you're a training nightmare.

I agree, all of us who want jobs will be able to get them eventually. Given the last decade though a flow agreement is an effective carrot.

PSA has 600+ pilots, PDT 300 and change. So PSA is twice the size and they haven't even taken delivery of their new shiny 900s yet.

Probably under 400-450 are flying the line at PSA right now. The 650 number on the seniority list is misleading when it comes to staffing levels. PSA has a lot more full-time instructors now than 6-12 months ago.

You were still a bigger airline with a much brighter future with very little threat of being closed or downsized as you were already one of the cheapest operators out there.

How many crjs has PSA parked because they reached their cycle limit? How many have they returned because they couldn't "reach acceptable terms" on the lease rates?

PDT has had a bleak future for the past decade.

I'm still a no vote on rjs for concessions btw.

PSA has no flow agreement, what they have is a preferential interview. Big difference, I doubt PDT will see anything different.

Piedmont pretty much has the same agreement as PSA except theirs is not in seniority order.

That's right. They'll offer you a pay raise, because obviously they'd be happy if you flew for PSA's rates on the E175, and you'd take it. It isn't a concession. Neither was the deal PSA had, unless of course you're not so good at math, and foam at the mouth when your career aspects continue to get bleaker. I'd be upset to, but I want to think I would know when to cut my losses.

It's actually really amusing to see all you Piedmont guys say well I wouldn't take a concession. There is no concession for you to take, noone is going to ask you to fly an E-175 for turboprop rates!

Piedmont has too many grandpas that wouldn't be able to make it through initial on a jet for new planes to ever happen.
