But the run aground jokes never get old.

I felt that way after 4 months at Pdt and ran away. Things seem to have gotten worse- What do you think will happen XX? Id be worried if I was still at Pdt.

Honestly... I think the pilots will be OK one way or another. AAG needs pilot bodies at the regional level. New planes..ehhhh maybe. Depends but honestly don't believe outside the relm of possibilities. Lots of people moving on... I know of 5 leaving in the next month, 1 to UAL, 2 to jetblue, and 2 to mainline. Shortage of pilots here is becoming real

I think the writing is and has been on the wall at Piedmont for some time. I'd agree that AAG is going to need bodies, but I wouldn't put it past them to shut Piedmont down, leaving all the pilots to start over at the bottom of someone else's list. I hope this doesn't become reality, and instead they'll actually merge Piedmont with PSA or Eagle, in which case there would be an SLI. However, my hope/trust has run thin. I don't trust management to do anything that looks out for the pilot's well being, and I sure as heck don't trust the PSA pilot group to be reasonable in an SLI. Good luck to everyone, we're gonna need it.

Almost everyone is trying to get out of here ASAP. Going to another regional right now would be like jumping from the Titanic to the Carpathia and trying to ride it out through WWI. Best thing for anyone who has more than a year here and a few thousand hours would be to wait for a call from a major. Just my opinion.

Love the reference. Whatever you do, avoid the Lusitania/Britannic while you're at it!
I made a 'lateral' move from PDT a few years ago and could not be happier. To each their own, and I greatly enjoyed flying with all of you while I was there. No stigma in going to another regional if it works best for your personal situation.

Agreed. For the people who commute, I can totally understand a lateral move, especially those who have 2+ legs. This is not a commuter friendly airline, and most likely never will be.
