Yea- ceos never lie or deceive their employees
The only hope for pdt is a merge with psa

I think that actually makes the most sense. Exact number of pilots needed to staff the coming airplanes. It's a no brainer but it's not my call.

Except it's expensive, PDT is very senior.

Not really. The senior guys are still close to or below the PSA 12 pay scale.

This doesn't sound very accurate but obviously you know better than me if you work there. Even if it is it does not fit with the plan that AA had for PSA when this deal was proposed as far as "longevity control." They want as many pilots as possible to "flow" creating a revolving door at PSA which continually resets longevity. Also if they merged the groups they aren't getting new hires at year 1 to fly the jets they are getting capped FOs. Adding another pilot group with a large number of lifers is contradictory.....which probably means they'll do it.

Maintenance is not cheap for PDT when a maintenance malfunction causes a hull loss in EWR.

There won't be any new planes at piedmont. All the orders are accounted for and none include us. The fleet plan calls for an elimination of the dash by 2017 and in the words of our president "3 years is an eternity in this business" smh.

Also there are 154 pilots on our list that are 12+ years of seniority

So how many total are on the list now? I think it was around 370 when I bailed.

They are going to incur those costs regardless....

They might as well get something from it.
