Slow Death of the Prop
Piedmont flight department is schedule to cease operations January 2017. Time to pack up your things, update your resume and apply to Middle east and Asian carriers. This company was flown ashore. Word on the street, no more Props or Jets for piedmont. They already have plenty of Jet operators to whipsaw against each other for the cheapest flying.. The Irony of the story is that Parker needs a lot more regional lift than ever... Brilliant Parker Brilliant. Can't say the same about some of the regional pilot groups that vote YES on any offer he makes. He cant ask for concessions from mainline pilot group so he does it to the regionals.... Brilliant Parker Brilliant. So take pay cuts now for the next 4 years then 1 percent increase after that, then IF you get on with mainline take another pay cut. You better hope the world is not at war, oil is not 150 dollars, economy is not upside down age 65 is not raise to 90 then maybe 7 years down the road you might break even.

I think they will merge PDT with PSA when they can't get more pilots.

Just off the Union Presss
Union of PSA and PDT to meet with AA Management next week. I guess neither can seem to be able to staff their airline. Merger talks is my guess, 30 crj900 x 13 crews per plane = Piedmont entire flight staff. Any other wild guess?
