Hi, Hoping some piedmont pilots can give me some in sight in to a dilemma here. Basically I am an ATP pilot 1700 total time. Was in republic training on the E170 175 190, Need an extra sim to complete training, They did not have the sims and was let go with eight other pilots out of the class for the same reason. We also did not have the ATP at the time and the union indicated the decision was also based on the AUG deadline with that. Well since then I have worked hard to put that in the past and continue with my flying career, also went to a job fair and received a letter that Piedmont wants to bring me in for an interview “on Nov 3rd with immediate hire” They stated that our day of interview will also be our first day of indoc? I do not understand why they are doing the immediate hire. I have had to rescdugle the interview Basically I want to here from Piedmont pilots how is working for them? What is training like? AQP? Updated take on upgrade times? Best way to prepare for the written other than the AIM. And any other advice that you may have to offer. How does it compare to Silver?

Immediate hire? It's probably so you can't change your mind after they interview you.

not sure how they're doing this interview/indoc same day hadn't heard about it
upgrade times are presently around 5-6years i believe but there's no way to know how that will hold/change

Ya first day of indoc is your interview.... Thats what they are telling us at the job fairs and over the phone. It throws up a lot of red flags. What is training like at PDT? Would love to hear from some recent new hires on this one and how does it compare to other regionals?
