My point was, they were offered a defined amount of aircraft deliveries for their concessions. What did we get? A kick in the ___. We had more reason to shout "NO" than they did, but rolled over and showed our bellies to management. The Eagle guys seem to have a bit more integrity than our pilot group so far, seeing as they didn't even send the agreement to the pilot group for a vote, but voted it down 7-2.
A.) Unfortunately, this whole charade shows exactly where Piedmont sits in the pecking order. We are truly the "red-headed stepchild.
B.) If by some act of God, Airways would approach us now (not going to happen), and offer us equipment . . . since we already operate on a "B" scale . . . I hope this pilot group can get it together this time, and stand our ground. I wouldn't want to be associated with throwing Eagle under the bus, while moving to a "C" scale.

Voting down concessions is only a small step in a much larger battle. It might require rogue actions that go against "policies" and expectations, industry wide. You have cameras and social media at your disposal...

PHL maintenance was instructed to locate a clean/COLD airplane and cold soak it with an air cart for the16:30 flight PHL-SBY yesterday because the new VP of Express for the New American was on it. How'd that turn out?

I heard from someone dead heading on it that they had an air cart on it, but it was a long taxi and everyone was sweating.

Clowns or idiots!!!
They must think VP'S are idiots... "You can put lipstick on a pig of a dash, but it still a hot ass pig of a dash." GOOD LUCK to the New Old American... You wont fix the airplanes for you customers and your crews but everyone has to bend over way backwards for VP...

I wonder if they were also able to find one with no MEL's, no speed tape, and no barnyard smell?

I noticed the first officer posting has been updated to reflect the R-ATP final ruling, but it lists total time requirements 200 below each of the new minimums. These are just interview minimums trying to get pilots before they even hit the new legal minimums right?

I remember this coming up when we voted on Q400 rates a few gears ago, but I remember being told that the company can place larger equipment on property whenever they want. We would fly them at current rates for X amount of months and then have so long to agree on new rates. Since our rates are currently so low, what would keep them from doing this with larger RJ's? Put them on property, get me to fly them at the -300 rate ($65), while they make bank for a few months then negotiate rates with the union.
