A turboprop no airline in the US wants for an RJ nobody wants.
Dude, PDT is not getting ANY new or $^**box old airplanes. End of story.
It came right out of the mouth of Farrow and Parker at a CLT crew news in early 2011. They said NO capital investment in fleet for PDT prior to the RJ contracts expiring 2015 and beyond. And that was consideration, not replacement plan.
You guys need to all realize that place is not going anywhere and get out, or STAY AWAY... I don't get how people actually believe the crap carrots that company floats to curb attrition.

I think that you will find the reason most pilots are unhappy is the uncertain future. Pilots like to have a plan. The feeling of PDT's demise that we all had has seemed to lessen over the past few months. Just one pilots perspective.

I heard something much more realistic, talking to some people in the Mainline training department. He was saying they were looking at the fleet plans for the new American and he said it did not look good for PDT.
He did say airways wants to keep them around, but they don't want Q400s they want 300's and are having a hard time finding them. He mentioned they hope 300's gain enough interest that they would reopen the 300 line in Canada.
But it's all hearsay of course.

Why would they want less seat? To save money on the extra fa? How does the fuel burn stack up in comparison? Less seats on aircraft is exact opposite of anything ive ever heard Parker say. And arent you at eagle? Youre familiar with the working of pdts operations?
