What are the chances of PDT taking over the soon to be ex-Colgan Qs and hiring off the street to fill the seats?

Why would DAL care where those Q's went? They are gone, off the cert by the end of November. DAL does not want TP's period. DAL will have no say in this anyway. The aircraft go back to the lessors. Would we get any of them? Highly unlikely! With a potential merger in the works with AMR airframe acquisition is frozen for the time being.

Doesn't CO/UA own the Q's?

The writing is again on the wall. The end result of the recent PSA flight attendant negotiations winding up with an imposed contract is where this is all headed for us. If we go into our cooling off period with no resolve, no strike plan, no final tactics, we too will end up with an imposed contract that makes current book look like the end all to fantastic contracts! And with PDT ending up with the cheapest contract of the three wholly ownd's, PDT, PSA, Eagle in the event of a merger where do you think all those planes will wind up? We have no merger plan, no strike plan no nothing. The MEC is sitting on their duffs while things are happening fast. It takes months to organize plans for end game negotiations and more months to get with other carriers that we may find ourselves dealing with SLI integration with. We need a cooperative agreement with at least PSA and Eagle..Waiting until a merger announcement before we act is a day late and a dollar short!

We are being set up. And our union is paving the way. Call, text, email your LEC reps people. TELL THEM this is unacceptable. Tell them you are demanding organization and you want action not clandestine subterfuge. BF needs to get off his ass and get busy or resign! We are in deep doo doo peeps...Wake up! PNCL is about to put a ton of pilots on the street. The job market is drying up. You may need to stay here to stay employed at least over the next couple of years. Is PDT done? Probably, but that does not mean we can do nothing to preserve some jobs going into the LCC's next chapter.
Your post made me curious so I dug up the code a phone number and heard the last announcement dated December something. Is the MECC communicating with you guys through another means? If not, ya'll need to take some action before it's too late. That's ridiculous.

the colgan qs are not leased. 28 were purchased. only 3 were lease backs when pinnacle sold them back to export develop canada last year to free up cash. those planes belong to the creditors at the moment, but will probably end up going back to edc unless someone makes an offer on them.
