At my interview only 3 out of 9 were hired. Read the gouges and you'll do fine. Don't be the guy that shows up without paperwork (there was one in my interview group that left immediately because of it) and pay attention to detail.

Guess I was wrong... Not being there to hear first hand I won't speculate as to what was discussed in a PSA meeting. I can say to you that we are actively looking for replacement aircraft for our fleet and that we will not be out of business in 2015. Michael

Would be nice... would give people something to stay here for, but PDT has no value to AMR or USAir. We contribute a tiny percent of unhappy pax who are forced onto our planes by questionable advertising and corporate chicanery. People who say "Well, wait a moment while I hike my pants up over this huge belly, and by the way, are you Baptist? PDT is the only thing that makes USAir money..." are nuts. We're a drop in that bucket and will be evaporated fairly quickly now.

Absolutely true. Piedmont GROUND HANDLING will be around past 2015. . . But NOT Piedmont flight ops. Remember Skyway?

Something some of you may not realize is that this pilot group is very close, perhaps even 90 days out from being released into self-help by our mediator. We are absolutely screwed people. Our fantastic union leadership has done NOTHING to prepare for "end game" tactics. So where does that leave us? A last minute strike vote that may or may not pass being useless even if it does. The writing is again on the wall. The end result of the recent PSA flight attendant negotiations winding up with an imposed contract is where this is all headed for us. If we go into our cooling off period with no resolve, no strike plan, no final tactics, we too will end up with an imposed contract that makes current book look like the end all to fantastic contracts! And with PDT ending up with the cheapest contract of the three wholly ownd's, PDT, PSA, Eagle in the event of a merger where do you think all those planes will wind up? We have no merger plan, no strike plan no nothing. The MEC is sitting on their duffs while things are happening fast. It takes months to organize plans for end game negotiations and more months to get with other carriers that we may find ourselves dealing with SLI integration with. We need a cooperative agreement with at least PSA and Eagle..Waiting until a merger announcement before we act is a day late and a dollar short!
We are being set up. And our union is paving the way. Call, text, email your LEC reps people. TELL THEM this is unacceptable. Tell them you are demanding organization and you want action not clandestine subterfuge. BF needs to get off his ass and get busy or resign! We are in deep doo doo peeps...Wake up! PNCL is about to put a ton of pilots on the street. The job market is drying up. You may need to stay here to stay employed at least over the next couple of years. Is PDT done? Probably, but that does not mean we can do nothing to preserve some jobs going into the LCC's next chapter.
