You can blame whomever you want and be mad at whomever you want.

As for PSA's 900 rates. I was under the impression that they didn't have any. Guess I'm wrong.

We did get a LOA last year I think for 900 rates. The rates sucked but was comparable to any 900 operators. Mgmt asked the pilot group twice in the past 6 years or so to fly the 900's at our current blended 200/700 rate. Dangling shiny new jets which I'm sure was tempting because it meant growth and upgrades and leaving the regionals sooner. Fortunately, most voted no telling mgmt to shove it, and of course the extra flying went to republic and mesa. The LOA didn't really matter because we knew we weren't getting any 900's. If anything, we thought we were going to be sold to mesa at one point in return for bailing mesa out of bankruptcy.

Either way, I'm just promoting mutual respect for one another, unless you're a scab. Whatever bad blood in the past should have the blame allocated to the selected few, not an entire group.

Atleast it would be additional aircraft, but hell will freeze over before piedmont aquires anything other than dashes...way to much cost to bring in a different type of aircraft

Nothing to even argue about, both companies are a joke. Just like 90% of regionals are a big joke, with pay and work rules suited more for dogs then people. ALPA should invest their time into starting a campaign to educate and notify wannabes of the realities of this industry so they don't make the same awful uneducated decision so many others have made. That would be a lot more useful then the miniscule changes that they have been fighting for years now to make to our contract that won't be respected by the company anyways.

No worries though, the big shortage is coming. Just remember regionals are 53% of all airline flying in the U.S now.
Yup....bragging or thinking a certain regional is better than another is like bragging about winning the special Olympics!
