more difficult, i get a little irritated, especially when it happens so frequently and its the same group of people. its not just a wise comment over the radio. we all do that. but this is a frequent routine i here on 131.60 that gets so old. and its only piedmont. none of the other carriers.
oh...and i just got laid. had 2 miller lite drafts earlier as well.


oh...and the ties that bind us, are stronger than the little things that make me mad. so while i get cranky on here, id still buy yall beers. were in this together.

Drop it. We've moved on on this forum.
Or go to CLT and listen to the d-bags from PSA trying to be funny on north ramp.

No more class for me in January. It's been bumped to TBA February. Stated that attrition has slowed and majors aren't hiring as projected.

I just want to be able to buy beer again!!!!

we're pretty funny in north ramp MOST of the time =D thanks for calling us d bags lol and here I was thinking pdt are our brothers and sisters!!

I don't think you'll find anyone who has been at PDT longer than 5 years who feels that way about PSA.

I've been at PDT longer than 5 years, but I feel no resentment for PSA pilots. Their MEC went behind the backs of their pilots and sold us out, but the majority of their pilots had nothing to do with it. I blame our management.

I think it goes both ways, some of their pilots are nice but some won't even acknowledge you. I'm sure the same goes for our guys... Although we have a legitimate gripe

You blame our mgmt for their MEC's actions? Makes sense. What about their current MEC that authorized 900 rates that under cut mesa's current rates?

I blame PDT Mgt, US Airway Mgt and ALPA for asking for concessions in exchange for Jets that they had no intention of giving to PDT. This happened before I was on property (about 9 years ago) and I still came. I will not blame a PSA line pilot that had just as much say in this as I did. You can blame whomever you want and be mad at whomever you want.

As for PSA's 900 rates. I was under the impression that they didn't have any. Guess I'm wrong.

Actually you can aim your disgust almost solely at Chris Beebe.

The PDT / PSA / ALG MEC's all agreed to present a united front to management on jet rates and work rules (concessions). The PSA MECC came to the realization that the DO328s were being parked (Dornier went T/U leaving aircraft support up in the air). He undercut PDT / ALG thinking that the pilots he represented would be unemployed if he didn't do something to secure the jets.

Trouble is, USAirways management was in bed with the AAA MECC (Beebe) to cut costs at the wholly owneds. Beebe didn't inform any of the three MECCs he knew the jets were already allocated to PSA. Had he represented pilots as a whole, all three wholly owneds most likely would have retained the united front, both companies would be at the same place they are today but with better work rules, higher pay, and less animosity.

We found out Beebe screwed us well after the SOB was elected VP of Finance for ALPA. Ask around to some of the louder PDT guys who have been around a while if they have the court transcript that basically says what I just posted. It's out there.

Who cares, pay rates and work rules at both crap companies are crap.

Nothing to even argue about, both companies are a joke. Just like 90% of regionals are a big joke, with pay and work rules suited more for dogs then people. ALPA should invest their time into starting a campaign to educate and notify wannabes of the realities of this industry so they don't make the same awful uneducated decision so many others have made. That would be a lot more useful then the miniscule changes that they have been fighting for years now to make to our contract that won't be respected by the company anyways.

No worries though, the big shortage is coming. Just remember regionals are 53% of all airline flying in the U.S now.
