I know its hard to say, but do you think those times will trend to an increase in time, decrease, or stay pretty consistent?

As a new hire I would be worrying whether the company will be around long enough for you to upgrade.

You may very well be right! What are the biggest reasons they wouldnt be around? I know im a newb so bear with me, but I was under the impression a fuel conservative 50 seat turboprop was more valuable than some of the 50 seat CRJ airlines out there.

Does this have to do with just the age of the fleet/maintenance/management or something else over there

Ya, but it's at a wholly owned carrier.
It doesn't make sense, that's why.

Hmmmm...why wouldn't we be around? Agony and PDT combined used to have approximately 100 airframes. When I got hired we had 60ish. Then we lose the -200s, then the leased -100's, which brings us down to 44 or so. There is no replacement plan for our fleet, and we have such old pieces of s%#t that they start to time out soon.

So as I tell all the new hires now, pack up and leave. Go to a jet operator and don't get fooled by management's touting of high first year pay. You owe PDT nothing, just leave. This "airline" is a total embarrassment/joke. The only thing positive that has happened in my 5+ years here is we've gotten window shades to protect us from a lack of working air conditioning.

I concur, shades.... which are already worn out and let sun through, meaning some of them don't even do their job properly anymore..

So I heard Mesaba is pulling out of LGA come December.

Also heard the slot-swap ran into troubles again.

Also heard there are gonna be new-hire classes through the rest of the year.
