thats a question better posed to the new guys like crabinow, but if i had to guess from what i've been hearing, yeah they're getting used alot, there is no appreciable qol when you are on res.

Honestly - its a grab bag, in my class (april 5th) people went to all of the bases, but with the majority going to ROA or MDT. I finished SOE on friday and now start reserve in New Bern on Thursday.

Good thing they postponed the July class, that way they were able to put all FO flying in open time as Premium pay.

Apparently they told the union either:
1) let us disregard the 5% clause, or
2) all vacation will be cancelled which they can do according to the contract...
...so the union allowed them to violate the 5% rule

Union! Get some balls! Let them cancel vacations then you'll get pilots behind you! How do you expect pilots to enforce the contract when you won't even do it?
