So to clear up.. I understand then we are going to be paid starting at the times we call "doors shut" into ops? Or is the company going to try and steal from us and have the SATCOM times be official regarding pay or off-block? As if we didn't do enough **** for free.

No, door closure starts the time for the people in the back for the no more than 3 hours on the ground rule. Our pay does not start until we have moved at least 50 feet.

If this is the case, and stays the case until they activate all of them... I have no comments.

They could kiss their on-time performance goodbye.

I think that FIL just meant that the times wouldn't be sent until the plane moved 50 feet, but the time does start once the door closes. Dispatch has to monitor that 3 hr rule. Problem is only way for us to see what time is actually sent is to check the times at a computer sometime during the day. TAMDAR will be the official time, but they have to edit whatever time we call to correct when checking out.

I don't think so. SF and AW came in and talked to us in CQ and said that the door closure time is what is calculated for 3 hour rule and that you must move the airplane 50 feet in order for the clock to start on pay. Even though the jets only need to move 10 feet, AW said that the GPS was so sensitive that if the wind pushed the airplane, it could start sending times. So they made it 50 feet just in case. How much wind would it take to move a 30,000 pound airplane 10 feet?
