Congrats, welcome back to the mess.
How many you have below you before they hit the bottom of the recall list?
Or maybe if you know, how many below KM from 03.08 class are you?
Enjoy.
Just read BSOs post, so I guess that makes you around 6-7-8ish from the bottom of the list then? Good to see then.

The Jan class is actually the 26th, not the 31st. I'm assuming that, after 14 months, this is a full-blown ground school?

Just announced via email:
Mesaba Airlines to Join US Airways Express
Beginning in March, Mesaba Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pinnacle Airlines Corp., will begin operating as a regional partner for US Airways Express out of New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Mesaba will initially serve six locations out of LGA, approximately 48 daily flights in total, for US Airways Express – Charlottesville, Va. (CHO); Manchester N.H.(MHT); Ithaca, N.Y. (ITH); Syracuse, N.Y. (SYR); Providence, R.I. (PVD) and Washington Dulles (IAD) - utilizing six Saab 340 aircraft with seating for 34. Formerly these markets were served by Colgan Air, also a wholly owned subsidiary of Pinnacle. While the subsidiaries of Pinnacle are changing from Colgan to Mesaba for the LGA service, the current level of flying will remain the same. In all, nine regional airlines will operate as US Airways Express, including wholly owned subsidiaries Piedmont and PSA, Air Wisconsin, Chautauqua, Colgan, Mesa, Mesaba, Republic and Trans States. These US Airways Express partners will operate more than 1,800 daily flights to 145 destinations. We look forward to welcoming Mesaba to the US Airways Express team. For more information about Mesaba, visit Mesaba Airlines - Home.

Not that I want to see this happen to LGA, but having Mesaba doesn't mean more and new flying for USAirways. It is just Colgan flying under a new name since the prop flying of Mesaba and Colgan will all become Mesaba, and the jet flying of Pinnacle and Mesaba will become Pinnacle. So its no different than losing our flying to Colgan we are just losing it to the "new" Colgan. Bad deal for our LGA guys no matter which way you look at it.

7 of the new Mesaba destinations that they will be doing are all currently done by PDT out of LGA. That is a lot of flying, unless we will both be doing some of them.
Wonder if this is going to shut down LGA. One of the only good bases this damn company has.

Yea I think you get 3 days of ground school going over everything with the test on the last day. Then you get I believe 3 AD sessions in the sim, then MV then LOE. Maybe its 2 AD sessions, I forget.

I thought it was 18 months and you have to the full blown training. If it is like anything I had to do....3 days of ground school, one practice sim and then MV and LOE. The atmosphere in the training department has changed. It was actually a pleasant experience when I went.

It's like when they tried to get rid of Express flying in LGA, everybody said "oh I feel bad for you guys". Well guess what....it would have hurt all PDT employees. They would have lost a bunch of flying in NY and replaced it with nothing elsewhere.

I wouldn't say it's a bad deal for us "LGA guys".....over the past 2 months we have seen an increase in LGA departures of 45%. Over the past 2 months the LGA pilots have lost 1 line of hard flying. So all they're doing is routing other domiciles through LGA more. This flying shifts around all the time, we'll just do more Pennsylvania shuttle out of Philly. I can't wait...

Looks like everyone will be recalled by JAN/FEB.
Got email from BT, saying interviews will be held on Wednesday, January 19th and Wednesday, January 26th.
Those interviewing are from the hiring pool...which sucks, since we already interviewed w them once and got hired.
Good luck to those going
