Actually, there was a CLT crew news session this Wednesday and preferential hiring for PSA and PDT were directly asked about, but I don't know why it's taking them so long to put the video up.

Update: the video is now on the Wings site.

You shouldn't expect to see it shrink.. much."

I don't think DP really has an intimate knowledge of what's going on with PDT or PSA. He usually defers questions to others or just gives vague answers. I bet you he only thinks about PDT once a month, when he gets questions about it during every CLT crew news. He has plenty of underlings to worry about a little regional with only 44 itty bitty prop planes.

Take it for what it's worth.

Q. Were you still planning on putting out another upgrade bid for December?
A. Thanks for the question. We aren't planning a class in Dec. The next will be sometime after the first of the year. Hope to have all F/O's called back sometime in spring of next year and will look at the Captains during that time period. John B.

...well they also said months ago that they had no plans for recalls for the remainder of the year. Then they had a recall class a few weeks later.

Has anybody here ever had something come up where they needed a longer period of time off from work, and had no vacation time to use? Like an unpaid leave for a certain amount of time?

Any chance of something like this? And how did you go about it with company?

Go out on medical?? just kidding I don't know... I'm sure you remember when I was a new hire I had some stuff come up in training... I just walked into the office and told them how it was going to be. I was on the next flight home (Space positive), and got a few weeks off paid.. don't think that will work now training was so backed up then I don't think they cared.

Maybe you could go off on FMLA? It's not just for when you're sick, but if you need to take care of someone in your family too. I'm not sure how broad the scope of that leave is though.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll have to look into it.

2 weeks of being a PDT employee again, and STILL no access to the PDT website, probably CASS, and wings.. who is in charge of this?!

But damn they were quick to cancel our access when we got furloughed.
