How much will it cost to retain all the senior PDT people who bid the CRJ and all the displaced, junior PSA people on the Dash?
If they went to one certificate, would the other crews have to go through the "new indoc?"
How would they integrate the lists with PDT people who were hired in 2008 with the furloughed PSA (DOH 12/3/07)? Sounds familiar...

Okay now here's an interesting one...
Been told that mainline has come to both PDT and PSA with a flight ops merger/integration package that will consolidate the the wholly owned carriers into mainline "express". Pilots and f/a's will have mainline seniority numbers and after a fence period will be able to bid to mainline equipment the reverse being true for current mainline pilots. And apparently even though this agreement would allow furloughed mainline pilots to come back and take seats on the CRJ and the Dash no additional current PDT or PSA pilots would be on the street.
A whopper huh? Normally I would not lend to much credibility over something like this but the level of detail that was explained to me seems to give it some possibility. That with first hand conversations I have had personally with the head of the mainline committee on PSA's and PDT's flow-through which suggested this was coming.
In the current economic environment it also makes a great deal of sense for Airways to absorb PDT and PSA. The cost savings in overhead reduction alone will even further enhance USA's cash position.
Now, do I buy all this.....personally, I don't believe any rumor until it has actually happened. But this one is at the least intriguing to discuss.

Stop dreaming. They can't even integrate the West and East certificate. I'm sure Tempe has this plan on high priority.

So, the other day looking in open time, I noticed where the positions (CA FO FA) there was an additional position; FB?
Now, other than what most people call FB's, the conclusion several of us came up with is Flight Attendant B. Either Q400 rumor time to start again or we are merging with PSA cause they have 70 seaters and need to have 2 FA's.
Just FYI, I don't buy either, I just like to stir the pot and see if there was any other news out there.

I'm not going to lie I am passing the Q400 rumor on this one because it's fun, but I think the real reason is just because we are handling PSA's scheduling.
