QUOTE, I thought the Q400 would go against the large RJ's clause??? Thus why PDT would not be able to get them until an RAH/Mesa etc lost some 70 plus seat flying?
The Q400 is not a Large Small Jet!! The Q400 has it's own scope due to LOA 83 or 81! Pretty silly when you think about it. But ML keeps saying that the Q''s are too expensive and that they are a growth A/C. Last time i checked PDT was shrinking

PDT's Dash-8's only current value to the US Airways system are as "slot holders." If...and it's a big if, and when LCC becomes a profitable economically stabilized airline, PDT will be history. We are a thorn in the side of mainline mgt. We have a very senior and (comparably to other regionals) high dollar pilot group and are unsellable, as we own no routes/slots, and our few owned assets are completely obsolete with exponentially increasing maintenance needs and that even goes for the GSE on top of the aircraft. There is only one airport in the US Airways East system that is serviceable only by TP's and that may not be long in the tooth either. My gut tells me the locals are gonna loose the runway extension fight at HXD.
In my opinion...There are only two possibilities for PDT to survive beyond the life of the 300 leases:
- Airways does not stabilize financially enough to replace the TP lift with jet lift, contract or otherwise.
- MAG folds and PSA wins the RFP for the 900 flying.
