RB from the 01/07/08 class is currently training to fly for the reserves. I have not talked to him but would imagine he would be bypassing at least for the next round, but I do not know for sure.

RB took an LOA before the furloughs happened, so could he not come back on LOA?

Good question...regardless he would have to come back and do the re qualification training...not sure he could get the time off to do that. Again, that was just someone I thought might bypass.

I know one other guy had his reserve unit activated through the end of the year so he won't be coming back either.

Have any PDT guys, f'd or not, been picked up by another carrier? Most of the carriers that are hiring are still in the interviewing stages and have only handed out offer letters. I'm sure once eagle, colgan, allegiant and others start their training classes we will see a small ammount of attrition.

I got picked up by CommutAir and was offered a class but asked to be placed in a later class just in case something happens with Piedmont. CommutAir is hiring a crap ton for the pool right now and I am not sure if these classes are just for attrition or if something has been planned with Continental on getting Q300s. Plus CommutAir wants you to sign a 2 year $12,000 training contract or give up your seniority number. I know some people who got interviews at Eagle.

Can you elaborate as to why? I thought PDT was still going to fly the same number of planes just they would not be in LGA, rather different routes????
