all I saw was...
"
DASH 8 102-201-311 NORMAL CHECKLIST
REVISION....................16
DISTRIBUTION................NONE "
not sure if having "201" in there really means anything though, I dont remember, but that might have been what those checklists have been called on the dailys all along, I forget if the "201" part is a new addition, but if it is, its the only thing on the daily out of all the revisions and checklists that lists it...no use of "201" inthe daily on the emergncy checklists, etc

We could speculate all day on what the 201 on the checklist means or doesn't mean.
My opinion is they decided to put it on there when they first looked into taking over the west flying. That's all on hold now while they figure out what Mesa is going to do with their 200s. I think Piedmont was originally going to sublease the 200s from Mesa, but now that that they filed ch.11, Mesa is attempting to dump them all back to the leasing companies. If Airways is smart they may be able to negotiate something with those companies to immediately pick up the leases. Airways should avoid at all costs letting this issue sit for a while. As we have seen with the lease renewal, Tempe loves to lowball and if these planes interest another party then you can say adios to the 16 200s at Piedmont.

Guys and Gals, stop trying to interpret signals and vague little signs. Just because you may see the numbers (-200) printed somewhere doesnt mean anything. Piedmont has had no good news since 2001 when they got the 300 series since then its been all down hill. If there was any plan to bring back any aircraft or any good news for that matter, they wouldn't just stick a 200 reference here and there, Farrow would be on top of Mt. Sinai blowing it out of a bullhorn for all to see and hear. Since he's taken over his rhetoric has been "We've got a great oppotunity here.." blah blah blah. The rule of thumb, after being at Piedmont for a decade is this: If they're silent (MNGMT) then it's bad news. If it's good news, they'll be transmitting it on every medium available including but not limited to 8-track tapes and beta max.

PDT wouldn't need 16 -200s. Only 6 of them are doing the PHX flying. The other 10 were part of the UAL code share out of DEN that is ending on April 30, 2010.
Eventually they could use some more -200s to replace the -100s that reach the end of their cycle limits. But I wouldn't expect Uncle Steve to seriously start to pursue more -200s for eastern routes until the speed tape holding together the main wing spar of 906HA finally comes unglued for the last time.

In other news, company has postings for PT/FT and Supervisors in HHH posted on careers section just today. Either a lot of attrition suddenly hit that station or they are planning for a busy summer down there.
Did DAL pull out the S(L)aabs permanently, or was that just temporary?
