Incorrect. We have many 145 trips with only 1 or 2 flights on several of the days.

Found it kinda odd
Yes, there are going to be many displacements on this base closure bid. Either your going to phl sby or roa on the dash or phl on the phone 145. Your seniority holds where you will end up.

Anytime a base closes there are displacements. That's not news.

The person that will be the most junior captain 6 months from now has already been hired. The painfully slow training process will allow anyone that is already flying the line to build 1000 SIC and upgrade before anyone that is hired today.
Except it isn't anywhere close to "6-8" months to finish training. I started in November. I'll be done next week. It will be just over a total of three months, including my paid time off. Some finished sooner. No one will be on min guarantee waiting for a year either.

The last vacancy bid was unable to fill all captain slots. Anyone being hired now will have a very quick upgrade compared to just about anywhere else. Anyone with the required 121 time will go to OE and then right back for upgrade.

Are you going to have a little paid time off? Yes. Four to eight weeks. That's it. The only airline that has a 6-8 month footprint right now is CommutAir. Your numbers are very inaccurate.

When I went through training I picked the training date with the most time off every time. I thought I was fortunate in waiting six weeks for OE while I sat at home and enjoyed the time. Why do you guys want to work? You've got 40+ years of that left.

No joke. They should use this as a recruiting tool. "You'll have approximately 4-6 weeks of paid time off, with travel benefits, before IOE. Is that going to be a problem?"

Where do I sign up?

Mr. Negativity makes his presence again known.
Meanwhile, the PDT pilots march ever closer to mainline with their flow.......
