It's crazy rediculous how much money some people are making... people picking a two leg overnight.. 32 hours... over 2k in pay.. i was flying with one guy, he always called the day before the end of his trip and said keep me out.. he would do one more overnight, 32 hours extra pay.. he always comes in 200 credit hours.. at 68 an hour and is making some serious coin as newish captain.

I do the same thing at least once a month. 150-200 hours credit is standard. There are a few guys getting 300+ You can usually get paid DHs to and from home if you commute and pick stuff up.

Im interviewing in a couple days - I want this guys number so I can buy him beers till he drops in exchange for schooling me on his method. Maybe I can actually pay my bills on 1st year FO salary instead of plan A of using savings!!

Lol its easy just tell scheduling you will accept more premium work on a day off or when your trip ends or before it begins. If they are real desperate you can negotiate your terms as far as deadheads and once in a while 4x premium too. Open time and it's premium level is also listed online so you can try to use strategery. 😄

I know it's probably been answered many pages ago, but how long is the jet training delay after sim is completed?

For dash pilots who have gone to the jet, what was the difference in QOL? Is taking street CA on the dash worth it over holding out on the jet?

This is so important it cannot be stressed enough. Don't. Do. It.

I'm going to play devils advocate here. Why not? Especially if a pilot lives local and can take full advantage? Don't give me the "it sets a precedent" answer either. Any attempt by the Company to negotiate less days off than what we have now would be thwarted. It's also highly debatable whether it would hinder us from achieving more. Not in these times and those to come.

With the -8s going away I can't imagine a street-ish ca on the 8 being better in terms of QOL. You still have to complete OE as an FO on whichever airframe you choose.

You would be displaced quickly and spend about a year in 3 training cycles. Not worth it imho. Just bid 145 CA, the seniority to hold either is only a handful of months apart
