Everybody is furrowing; and that sucks, but we all still have contacts, so should we all lower the bar even further? NO, we should be raising it, despite what the industry is like now. If you can't pay us, close the doors! Why should we be working for less than what you can make as a manager at any mall?

So where do you jump seat from?

I find it funny when people say things like "If you can't pay us what we want then close the doors" then when the Major goes on and does it those same people cry about it here or on FI wondering why "their" flying was taken and given to someone else. It's also entertaining when I can guess where someone works just by how much hate they show in their post lol.

If you have any backbone at all send me your name. If not then sit back, relax, enjoy the ride one of our guys gives you, and keep the mouth shut.... dude.

Ooohhh would you look at that he Dared me!!!! Whoaaa

No those major carriers that took the pay cuts were making livable wages..Yes they took a big cut but it didnt send them back to eating ramen noodles!

My name is Julian Alvarez. I am not scared to give out my name..At the regional level we are already making peanuts for the responsability we have. Your willingness to come on a public forum and state that you are willing to take a paycut only takes more from the profession. If this is truly how you feel keep that crap to yourself. Hell, your company is currently in contract negotiations, do you really think it would be beneficial to your pilot group to have management know that there are pilots that would agree to concessions?? Management types lurk on these forums too...TRUST ME. Now how about you keep your mouth shut....

When did I ever say I was willing to take a pay cut? RAH is making money hand over fist and our operating cost is low enough where we can ask for more. My statement was simply to the entire "Pay what we want or close the doors" statement. This is an immature statement that shows lack of long-term thought. Sometimes it is required. If everyone had that mentality after 9/11 then there would in fact be many pilots on the streets.

RAH isn't hurting by any means. They continue to make money and we'll be doing what we can to make sure we get our slice of it. However there are companies that aren't making money. There are companies where the cost of employment was a direct relation to loss of contracts and jobs. There are places where their company is now on the brink of bankruptcy because right now they simply can't afford to pay what they pay. These situations might require something from the pilots or yes the doors can close. When an RJ driver is making $120k+ a year at these places and FOs are pushing $60k+ a year something needs to change. I'd like that pay as much as the next guy but I don't want to see my company go under because I was too hard headed to do what was needed. Are you going to call Commair scabs? What about ARM, CAL, DAL, NWA, UAL, etc? These all happen because these companies weren't financially stable. They were going down the tube and needed help from all angles. RAH isn't in that situation. They are furloughing because F9 went BK and dropped the contacts. They aren't furloughing because they can't afford the labor. Completely different worlds. As a matter of fact RAH is expected to show extremely health Q2 profits. Those are worth fighting for. And we well. I'm ever bit, if not more, willing to take the fight to the company for the pay we deserve because we do deserve it and it will be a cold day in hell when we take any type of pay cut while they're making so much. It's when your company isn't making money and worry about going BK that things need to change.

If you read it the way you posted then you need to read it again. My statement wasn't geared to anyone specific. But to say something so stupid as that you'd rather end up on the street than keep your job flying making less is all I need to know about someone. It said nothing about taking pay cuts during our negotiations. Read what you want to read into it but you're putting yourself in the same crowd as Mav204 and people are judged by the company they keep. Have fun!

Post 9/11 contract at RAH. Just sticking with the left columns for 5yr CA pay
It was a quick and dirty look at all the left side payscales. There was no lying on it. I could have said 70+ seat market. Would that have made you happier? Those scales did include C900s where applicable.

Too much to clean up here with respect to flamebait and threats. This is not what APC is about.
