i really do think delta is setting people up. like i said in a previous post delta is starting to show their true colors. their starting to act like nw management (wonder why? ). in about a month we are going to see the real delta and how they don't intend to keep any of their promises about the merger, ie people keeping their jobs and no layoffs, etc etc. delta might blow this merger before it ever gets approved.
In a lounge show Delta said Mesa was not near the required completion rate even when you take out all the flights Delta canceled to thin the operation during bad weather. Read the article carefully. It does not say that Delta counted those flights. The disputed flights are for other reasons.

You'd probably love to see that, wouldn't you?
Especially since you think Pinnacle is in the clear. But if they close MEM, wouldn't lots of Pinnacle guys lose their jobs? Or does Comair, ASA and Skywest just get the shaft and Pinnacle takes over everything and become the new Skywest.

man. if you guys would read and comprehend you would see i am not refering to pinnacle being safe at all. my buddy is in management at asa. he has recently found out that they are about to have to make some big cuts because delta has told them that they don't need their services anymore in several areas and that the jobs will be done by guys at mainline corporate. same goes for comair and skywest. the reason i didn't mention pinnacle is because delta has been doing that stuff for us since day one. we haven't been flying for delta nearly as long as the other dci guys. so we dont have the kind of staff for the delta side like the other regionals. once again i am not refering to pilots, fa's, etc etc. i am talking about the guys who are incharge of fuel quality control, inventory control, etc, etc. those guys at asa, comair, and skywest are the ones that will be on the street soon.
so no its not a pinnacle cheerleading squad. its a guy venting because one of his good friends is already having to let people go before the merger has even taken place. and this is exactly what daddy delta said wouldn't happen.

What you don't seem to understand is that Delta was only talking about mainline employees not losing their jobs. They weren't even talking about NW employees. I know that may be a hard pill to swallow, but what led you to believe that anyone at a subcontractor would be safe?
