True, we are a mess right now............well, except for the GREEDY Wall street type of guys that caused this mess in the first place

Figure in Fed Tax rate 32%. state rate (MN) 8.5%, social secuurity 7.5% and medicare 4%? and you get about 51% rate...so a US citizen loses about 9% for a 50% payraise....not bad
