I'm only interested because I've considered the move before; not as a part of this deal obviously.
Like has been posted EARLIER, the contract company AND FlyBe are working on a validation process. And I'm sure that WHATEVER they come up with will be a highly restrictive validated certificate as even though many guys will have have the total time and the total PIC requirement for the 2 written test short course, few (if any) will have the 1500 PIC in aircraft over 30K kilos. Although everybody will have the 500 multi crew but not the written exams passed, so that option is not feasible EITHER.

I wouldn't doubt that the certificate has a restriction for operating ONLY those EMB145's flown by FlyBe as well as a time limit not to exceed the duration of the contract.

Nope, otherwise Flybe/PAS would've gone to those pilots instead. Duh!

"For anyone wondering, I have asked the MODS to Delete this thread. I have received several PM's about this thread (requesting I delete it) so Hopefully the MODS will respect my wishes and get rid of this Thread"

Mod comment:

I believe it's not the policy of APC (certainly not this mod) to delete a thread just because the OP has second thoughts and wishes it gone. People have commented and opinions have been given. It's not fair to make that go away just because the OP asks for it.

Is that good enough for you? Does that make it more "credible" for you?
No more than someone who reads it on-line.

Don't know if you heard or not, but after the Skywest insult, err...deal, fell through CAL inked a new 7 year deal with XJT. Sooooo you still think we should've just cut those 69 airplanes loose 2 years ago?
Yes. See reasons above. Skywest was an insult because it almost tripled the value of the stock, which a large part of XJTs value lies within?

I know you think you are the end all-be-all when it comes to the business world, but giving 25% of your fleet to one of your closest competitors is NEVER a smart move.
Never say never. You don't know what would have happened. Wouldn't have lost their bank in the process. I don't think I'm the end-all-be-all at all. I just know how to read a graph. http://finance.google.com/finance?q=XJT&hl=en So to surmise yes mistakes were made. Enough of it if you can't see it now you never will.

toilet duck everytime you try and play expert about this whole xjt/chq/skywest deal you always end up saying something completely wacky and then wonder why no one respects your one sided convoluted opinion.

your just biding your time with this airline thing until your merril lynch job opens up right? i mean you did own xjt stock for awhile right?

if your going to take cheap shots at my company for what i still view as good long term move then i have to take one back. How are those CRJ's doing? just to think we have 1300 more flights a day for CAL than CHQ operates and we still have less MX cancellations a month. Just when you were getting all the bugs on those airplanes worked out they are going back to the dessert. shame.

Yeah judging a company based on stock price is a perfectly sound, reasonable, and educated way of valuing a company.... got anything else wacky to say? you make this fun.

Ummm, it's not. The price of an individual share of stock is meaningless to the value of a company unless you take into consideration the number of shares that were sold, number of preferred shares, etc. etc. P/E and other ratios are what you use.
