Hey Saab, any word on if there is a housing stipend or travel bennies in addition to that massive paycheck? Or do they figure with that kind of coin you can pay your own housing and jumpseat across the pond?

Doubt you will be able to jumpseat while on the leave if you are doing the FlyBe gig. You will probably lose your ID and not get it back till you return.

FlyBE will staff some EMB-145s with XJT pilots through a contract pilot company.
The XJT pilots at FlyBE would earn those wages. They have already been set, and this thread is not some rumor at all.

No $hit.. *** is wrong with airlines in the US? Just goes to show we must never, under any threat of furlough, job loss, whatever, budge one inch on pay and always fight for more. If they can get that pay over there, we sure as hell should be able to over here. Never buy the lines fed to you by management they use to keep wages down.

Good points about the pay. But something to keep in mind is that it's a CONTRACT job. And a relatively short one at that. There is a demand/need to that has to be filled so that's probably what is partially driving the compensation figure.
If you look at FlyBe's website and look at their compensation for the Q400, you will see that when you take into consideration cost of living in the U.K. and the tax rate, etc, their pay is not too far off from the U.S. regional pay scales.
Apparently they are working on a validation process. And when they do, I SERIOUSLY doubt that it will be full blown unrestricted JAR ATPL certificate.
