I heard today from a person involved that the negotiations went on all week. Supposed to end on Wed but went into the night on Friday. That actually sounds like good news. If it is true that they are meeting again next week, they must be getting somewhere with it. Maybe some good news will come out of this.

Drinks are on me if it comes true and if it's decent. Maybe we can all go running around naked in the woods by Nonconnah creek in celebration. J/K

Hey folks,

We do not have a TA yet. The official word is that great progress was made in this past weeks mediating negotiations and they are meeting again on Thursday to hopefully knock this thing out. We'll see.

every single time we have been in this situation before the company has come back changing their mind, Its hard to think any differently at this point which is why this week, I m not going to pay attention to it and if i hear everyone else getting excited then i will allow myself too.

exactly. just got the email saying things went really good and that the union gave the company a "deal closer" and the company seemed ok with it and wanted to meet again this thursday and friday.

like pinnaclefo(ca) said this is one thing i wont get my hopes up for. ever since i have been here everytime we got close to signing a deal the company would change their mind and try and reopen old things that have been ta'd and change them around again. i will wait till after friday night to hear from my mec. then and only then will i believe that we have finnaly got a ta.

We're lucky they're meeting even that soon. Typically it's once every other month or even longer. Thursday is, however, probably the soonest they could reconvene. When both parties request a meeting the mediator decides when and where. I feel for anyone that has to go through this total waste of time Railway Labor Act nonsense in a republican administration. It just gets dragged out until you're either dead or moved on.
