If there was a ta, do you think it would break on APC first? We may be close (still not getting my hopes up), but I just would hate to see many pilots counting bonus checks over a post here. When we have a TA, we will hear from the union. Even then, it will be a long process and I for one will not vote yes just because of the current climate...airline climates change faster than the seasons...don't like what's going on now? Give it a few months. We must be above industry average with some form of full retro (Bonuses) or the rumored TA will be shot down anyway. I REALLY REALLY hope the TA is coming, but not allowing too much excitement just yet. If anything, it'd be fun to see the numbers after 3 years of negot's.

I suspect that this rumor originated by the company basically saying that they came up with an "un-refusable" offer to the union. Off course, they also said "given the oil prices and the condition of the industry....." so there you go......bend over once again. Sorry to sound so negative, but from a very respected source (hahahah everybody has one, don't we?haha) the union is getting more flexible too, given the way things are going right now. I asked a few key questions about some details, and apparently it's a much better contract but is not even going to match the ASA's new contract (one of the most recent regional's contract).
In other words I'm guesstimating that we'll see some improvements but overall, it's more of a victory for management (if you consider every aspect of this battle) than a victory for the union. Remember, ALPA is never going to say "we settle for less" instead they'll say "we did what we could".........
I stilll support ALPA, just not a big fan........
Only time will tell, but don't get your hopes up

there will be a full memo sent out later today. we finished last week with management considering one of our proposals. We meet again on thursday.
sounds like things might actually be happening. from my understanding we ta'd several other sections in this last session. i am not sure which ones were ta'd and which ones are left. the good news is that this is the first time since mediated discussions that we have met 2 weeks in a row and where management actually is considering OUR proposal. but like most of you this is one thing i wont get my hopes up about. its been a long 3 years, i can wait a few more for a good one.
