Default PCL Reserve Time in MEM and ATL Base...

Simple and direct on this one.

How long is reserve looking currently in MEM for FOs? How about the chances of getting ATL? Are we looking several months down the road to get ATL as base?

Thanx in advance fellas.

ATL is going very junior for FO's. Seniority 1332 or something was the last guy.
I would guess right out of training or a month after.

MEM - you could possibly get a high speed line your first month of bidding. Looks like 6 months reserve (if you want a normal line); estimate based on their seniority number.

Should be learning to say "Would you like to super size that sir"?

Good Info, thanx. I guess a 2-3 month wait for ATL is bareable...

Now here's my next question to you, I'll be commuting to MEM from 1hr away. Do you think a high speed line would be a more advisable in this case for someone who commutes?

Thanx for the help!

I would agree with Spooled. ATL is going very junior for FO's, but who knows how long that will last... with the new pay rates I know of quite a few people who want ATL. I know of a whole class recently who bid ATL as #1 and none got it. Then a few weeks ago a few new hires got it.

If you don't like to work much, you'll like FO reserve in ATL. 25 hours is about average for FO's in ATL now. After about a month and a half of being here I got a high speed line with about 60 hours total... but that reserve time could change at any instant if ATL stops going so junior.

A highspeed line would be great for a commuter, because you can commute in on the day you work and get home early on your last day of work.

I cannot stand reserve. If you can stand sitting around all day, either at the airport or a crashpad then high speeds aren't bad.

Good stuff.
Yeah, I really dont like the idea of long reserves out of home. If Im in reserve at my place then I'll put up with it, But I think a high speed line would do the trick for me if Im commuting.
I guess my next journey will be finding out how soon could I get a High Speed line in MEM.
Thanx!

Recently, people who bid MEM high speed lines have been getting them within 1-3 months out of training.

One more thing about reserve in ATL right now.... yes, they're not working reserves much. But that is because we are growing. The base is being overstaffed with pilots prior to delivery of new planes. Then when the new planes arrive, we are correctly staffed. Then more pilots are sent here. And the cycle starts all over again. Things will become a bit more stable as time goes on.

With a lot of the lines moving from DTW to MEM, does that make reserve time in DTW longer??
Thanks!
