Rumor has it that NWA is building up Mesaba and Compass under to same ticket so they can be spun off...again another rumor.

The whole secret meeting that the company and union had this weekend is maybe for our contract...maybe the discussions will open back up. Again...you must wait until an official announcement from the union or the company...

My two cents...ignore everything unless you have written facts. I does however...make a good discussion on the Forums...good day to all
Compass and Mesaba have separate FAA certs. One holding company big deal. They could sell just mesaba too whomever they like. Hell anyways dont you know that RAH is buying Compass...LOLOL ( just kidding ... before the flamers squeal )

On any note..until we see a press release..... It actually might be a good thing for Mesabacle....LOL...good luck guys.

My earlier post was directly related to the mesaba rumor, yet I was not going to post the rumor. There was a meeting in California last week that I was told about but did not publicize until a rumor post was already "up and running". We are all pilots who live for a USA today and a new rumor. This is a rumor that I "could" see as a logical and quite possible move going forward in the NWA/DL merger. With that said I have no further opinions. Hopefully I will hear back from a very viable source soon- just sent a msg...

If this goes through I would see an upgrade on the PNCL stock... current price= $6.45. A couple hundred shares should appease most people's appetite for risk until the real news comes out.

It makes perfect sense as a move to gain cash for merger financing. Its similar to the playbook Airways used when they sold off MDA to Republic.

We're also merging with EOS, Skybus, and ATA.

yeah that is why i didn't even mention what it was at first. i wanted to see if other people had heard this and that it DIDN"T come from this message board.

i bet the reason for the meeting in california is because they DO NOT want to upset the arbitrator again like they did with the purchase of colgan by not meeting with the union to set up fences, merging list, etc, etc.

hmm lets see. the pilot message board goes down. and has been down for 3 days now. that has never happened.

I personally think the company board being down and a meeting are just a coincidence but we shall see.

as of the end of june we will have 23 900's and about 300 900 pilots. The 200 is even staffed and the saab is overstaffed. thats why they are slowing with the hiring.
