so there i was enjoying my days off, cooking on the grill when i got a call from my buddy. you wont believe what he told me has just happened. some people will be glad and others will be mad. since people on here hate it when i post my "rumors" (wich end up being true ie this is the guy who told me about us buying colgan and the delta flying), i want to see if you other pinnacle guys have heard what i am talking about. and trust me if you have heard it then you KNOW what i am talking about!!!

ok. i talked to several other checkairmen last night (and these are the "company" guys checkairmen). all of them said the same thing. i guess we have just bought mesaba. that might have something to do with the "secret" meeting our union had with the company over the weekend.
when he told me we bought colgan i believed it, when he told me we were getting 900's i believed it. but for some reason this one just seems to far out there for me to go with 100 percent. spooled did say she heard it too, see her post a few pages back, and several guys have pm'd me saying that they had heard it too. so we will see. between us buying mesaba and the secret meeting in san with our mec this could be an interesting week. well its time to get on the hotel van.

may sound like a conspiracy theory but isn't it a little strange that our pilot group message board went down friday night, and is still down this morning? i don't think it has ever been down for more than an hour before.

This is very disturbing news and not exactly how I wanted to start my day. I am torn between calling this absolute bull$h!## and halfway believing it. But I hope this is just another stupid rumor meant to use up more server space. We shall see.
Oh...and being that there is nothing...I mean NOTHING floating around on this on any of the union boards or company sites...this is becoming even more far fetched.

Intersesting....Question? When did Mesaba stop hiring...I mean aren't they still taking deliveries of the 900....or maybe they know something that most of us don't know?

what i dont know is why now before the delta/nwa merger and will we remain seperate or be joined together under the alpa merger rules. once again like all rumors this one has yet to be proven. like you said, we shall see. i personally would prefer we get a contract over another airline.
i didn't know they stopped hiring. i thought they still were.
