Just heard back from someone definately "In the know" and it is only a RUMOR that we are buying mesaba. While I am sure a million different rumors are circling this one gets clumped right with all the other ones... rumor only which is not a "no" but also not anywhere close to a "yes". With that being said I am sure there is stuff going on behind the scenes at PNCL. What it is- who knows....

well this should add some fuel to the fire.. from our mec.

Before lunch, the MEC received a briefing from Captain M. N. (i just put the initials in) , Mesaba MEC Chairman on issues of common interest to both Pinnacle and Mesaba.

After taking care of some housekeeping matters, the MEC discussed a resolution to form an MEC Merger Committee tasked with advising the MEC on any and all matters relating to mergers and/or seniority integration issues.

maybe this is where the rumor started since this meeting was held a few days ago, and the mesaba mec chair was there while we were talking merger/seniority issues. huh. so the mec chair from mesaba came to give our guys a briefing on the Common interest between us and mesaba. only time will tell i guess.

not really. i am almost 100 percent sure our mec knew we were buying colgan before it happend. we had the lawsuit and everything ready to go in less than a week after it was announced. of course the company didn't comply and we had to go to an aribitrator, wich we won. maybe the company has learned its lesson and decided to at least let their pilots leaders know what coming down the pipe.

wow, you do not want that. if you guys did that you can almost all kiss your jobs good bye when they start taking the 9's off the line. i already think that is what is going to happen to all the compass pilots. once guys start moving backwards after the 9 is pulled it wont be a pretty picture. i am not saying they will push everyone out, because i am sure there are mainline pilots who will refuse to fly a saab, but it wont be good if you guys are all on the same list.
