Like lots have said before--regardless of what happens with this rumor, the bottom line is 9Es contracts with NWA and Delta are the "hardest" to tamper with compared to the wholly-owned of NWA and Delta. You can always screw your own wife, but it's harder to screw her sister.

no one said that. jp morgan said our contract is the strongest and leaves the majors very little room for change. that is all we are saying. could things change. yeah, of course. how about this though, instead of worrying about pinnacles contract maybe you should worry about the fact that you guys dont even have one.

Yeah, sure, 'cause you said it, I'm shaking in my shoes now. Of course Mesaba can be made or broken in a day, just by the whim of management. Virtually any regional can. That's what makes your chest thumping so ridiculous.
I understand reality: Any airline can be screw*d whenever such scr*wing will make management more money. PCL, XJet, XJ, Comair, ASA, it doesn't matter who. If a scr*w job will make someone money, then a scr*w job shall happen. Your "PCL is so special" contract is meaningless.

so instead of getting your contract advice from hong kong phooey why dont you try reading a professional financial adviser groups thoughts on pinnacles contract. http://www.reuters.com/article/marke...G3582120080414

There is no merit to the idea of 9E buying Mesaba, Compass, Comair or any other airline at this point. 9E has little money for it. So don't waste one second thinking, dreaming, argueing, obfuscating or otherwise harboring any delusional thoughts over this one.
There was no secret meeting between the MEC and management in San Diego last week. The last meeting in San Diego took place a number of months ago.
There was a brief meeting between the Negotiating Committee and management briefly last week in preperation for the official negotiations this 9th and 10th. Both parties were actually eager to participate in these meetings (which is refreshing). And it would seem that more progress is being made towards a new contract. How much progress has yet to be seen. The MEC will quickly report back to the pilot group how these meetings turn out. Keep your fingers crossed.
Airlinkpilots.com is down right now because the warehouse in TX where the server is located burned. It is not and has never been the policy of your MEC to withhold information from the pilot group so as to accomplish under the table dealings. Furthermore, the union has taken the hard stance that it refuses to meet the company for anything other then official and upfront meetings. Nothing under the table. Also, the company is not capable of shutting down a union website. Everything about this particular rumor is LAME and can only serve to undermine the memberships faith in their MEC. Anybody that spreads this rumor is LAME.
As soon as anything noteworthy occurs it will be released to the pilot group in a timely manner through official channels by your communications committee. Any other rumors should be safely assumed to be bu!!$h*t.

Airsupport: you have no counter-argument. Financial advisers and other Wall St. types, like managers, say things to get the results they wish, and everything they say should be taken with a big grain of salt. Both Enron and Mesa were hot stocks a little while ago.
Any further posting will devolve deeper into childish name-calling. Enjoy your day.
