Ok....let me chime in one more time on this....I guess the way we should be think of this as pilots is....How would Big Bad Red benefit from all this....I mean lets see....we have the rumor that Pinnacle is buying Mesaba....Before that Mesaba was almost out of business and NWA bought them....NWA starts Compass....way before all this Pinnacle was sold by NWA for.....AHHHHHHH.....MONEY....

So we know that big bad red doesn't do anything without a plan....so lets think not how this rumor of Pinnacle buying Mesaba will benefit Pinnacle....But how it will benefit NWA or the New Delta....Or how will Compass benefit NWA in the future.

We should stop thinking how it will benefit our own little regional carrier....but we should stop and stare and see how we are step up in this little chess game....Now we should all have each others backs....if Pinnacle starts taking others flying....we should start saying hell no...thats my Union Brother or Sister. And visa versa...

Big bad airlines uses us as pawns while the King and Queens get richer....remember that...WE ARE ALL PAWNS IN THIS GAME....it doesnt mean we have to be dumb though

I think by virtual airline is that it would be fairly simple to divest MCHoldings of the compass portion fairly simply. IF and thats a big IF the Mesaba / Pinnacle rumor is true its probably because the NWA/DAL merger guru's are looking for cash. Dont think for a minute they wouldnt get rid of Compass as well. In the end its all about MONEY and if they need it they will sell it if they have buyers for one or the other or both. Just remember in the end we are pilots and fly the planes. People way above us with make or not make those calls. Good luck to everyone.

What does Mesaba operate? CRJ2, CRJ9 and SAABs

What does Pinnacle operate? CRJ2, CRJ9, and SAABs (plus the Q)

PNCL has been looking for a CPA to place Colgan's SAABs at. We could be talking about an agreement where PNCL says "We'll buy Mesaba, but we want an extended CPA with more SAABs".

Just my guesses. We will see.

Good luck to all involved.

There's one major reason it'll never happen. Then NWA can't whipsaw 9E and Mesaba's pilot groups against each other!
