good info JJ thanks. I live 15 mins from ORD and am happy as can be being on RSV. Last month I credited 7 hours which consisted of (2) 2 leg locals. I have weekends off and have been getting early released everyday of reserve. Typically 9am off by 4pm at the latest. Pay checks have sucked but I have a part time job which has turned into a full time job as a result of the lack of flying. I was on RSV on the CRJ at eagle before I started here last January and all I can say is it is night and day how they treat me.

In the crew lounge the other day talked to an SLC based RJ pilot who is 2 numbers junior to me. He told me that he was awarded a line for June as well as someone 4 numbers junior to him. Your seniority number does not always tell you where the cut off is for lines because there are people senior to you who are not eligible due to ASE flying or training dept, or esp. in the summer bid reserve to have more time off. If you want a line, albeit a crappy one, at my level you can get it, along with the wonder that is sked+ and the ability to better control your schedule.

Yes but to think that 50+ pilots are suspended is almost unimaginable and highly unlikely. There is also the possibility that they bid for pairings as a Hail Mary attempt at getting a soft line and everyone in front of them conceded to another month on reserve therefore didn’t bid for the scraps. This can cause extremely JR pilots to land a soft line but it doesn’t mean they can hold a line.

If you happen to be in a domicile with good skedplus coverage, all you need to do is hold a line...ANY line. As long as you have that, you can swap around to get a line you like.

I'm still doing research here. My company hasn't gone to single pilot yet, but I fear in the near future. So, I'm just getting as much info. as I can. I would probably have to commute out of RAP because my wife just landed a nice employment here, and she just doesn't feel like leaving!!
