I asked myself the same question. I hope we are not just hiring for the increased in flying we got in the northeast. There are plenty of F/Os up in JFK that are just sitting around. Word on the street is we are hiring for more airplanes that we are suppose to get from .?.?.?. Let's hope they are right, 'cause I think we have plenty of F/Os.

Like CRJDriver said, there have been rumors around here about growth, but nothing concrete. Our president has said we are pursuing flying for other carriers, but hasn't announced anything yet. I don't think they can realistically expect to try and fly for other carriers unless they have the pilots to back it up.

I can't believe no one mentioned Mesa... I can't imagine why.

I heard through the grapevine that we may be getting Horizon's 700s as they get rid of them. Sounds a little too good to be true but I hope I'm wrong and start seeing airplanes with QX on the tail.

I put in an Apps at a bunch of places with 1000TT/55ME, Bachelors degree, CFI and never got a call from many. ASA and Eagle called back.

Mesaba, TSA, Piedmont, Colgan wanted nothing to do with me.

Well, they are doing you a favor. Eagle and ASA are the only two you'd want to work for out of that whole bunch.
