I thought they wanted the 121 experience as well! I am not trying to be mean to guys with low time of no 121, but I was told they were looking for this! Anyway, I am not sure why they are interviewing guys with 500 when guys with the previous 121 have 2500+ hours and don't get an interview! I have seen this in the past, but usually with small charter outfits, because they don't want people who won't stay there long because they already have a lot of time. They would rather have lower time guys that will be around longer. Just one example.

I think he just meant it as a figure of speech. The standard company "sorry, thanks but no thanks" kind of email.

Personality goes a long way with this company. Yeah the experience is definately a plus. But if you have experience and the personality of a wet mop, chances are they wont hire you.

Not saying that was you, but I think that anyone with 121 experience already knows the BS that goes on around the regional world.

Perhaps they feel its better to be naive......who knows

I know they have slowed down the hiring but some of the attrition continues. Two CA's just resigned the same day. The majors have slowed to a trickle so our attrition has slowed.

As for our 2013 contract... I would not bet the farm on that one. With oil at $122 today I think it is a real possibility that US Air could throw a bone to the owners of AWAC and park some birds.

Haven't seen too much positive news here in many years. Then again not many regionals have. Great pilot group though.

Well this makes complete sense....If they gave you a chance to interview! How could they spot personality issues by just reading your application?

I wonder what could cause an automatic reject from an application (Other than the obvious, i.e convictions, 200 speeding tickets in the last 2 days, etc...)

Cheers!
