That doesn't mean much. I know people who are flying at AS and have crashed planes and killed people, who were wanted by immigration, who faked a college degree, who were under investigation for employee theft at Horizon Air and they all got on. For the right people anything can be overlooked for us however even a parking ticket could become a dis-qualifier.

It is coming. Many companies are starting to use the credit check as a screen. You are right about having to sign a release to authorize your credit to be checked but you also have to sign a release to have your driving record checked. No release no job. Clean up those records.

Is it the arresting agency or the COURT AND THE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY'S OFFICE WHO HAS DETERMINED THAT NO INFRACTION OF THE LAW HAS TAKEN PLACE!!! If they (including the Feds) don't hold it against me, why should they?

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, just trying see the logic in it.

The world's not fair brother. I had a buddy with a possession no-contest who got hired, but it took them a LONG time to process his background, and he had to go do some legal legwork to get it expunged to meet the federal background requirements. But that was his only blackmark and he was pretty young at the time...

hey atpwannabe - Id hire you just on the basis that you probably have some pretty awesome stories and would be a lot more fun on overnights than some 300 hour wonder who has had his head in a book for the last few years! Now all I need is an airline for you to work at

Just out of curiosity, I got a minor in consumption of alcohol, but they took it off my record after a year. Do you think I have anything to worry about? I actually just got hired at 9E as a ramp agent, and they never asked about it. I'm still a couple years off from applying for a pilot job.

All are misdemeanors except for the burglary. It's a felony charge. However, after the DA did their investigation, they dismissed the charges against me in all the dropped cases. Will that be held against me? Do the airlines look at the fact that charges were dropped and I have only one conviction?

Any advice?
man that better be one good bad check story! I would not hire you without some serious investigation and verification.
