Since paperwork was not yet complete, I doubt anything negative would show up on employment histories.
I talked to a guy I know that was in the 4/21 S5 class...he said they are back in the pool and will be the first called for class. He also said they will be called and offered the first available certificate for a class date. Basically, they are terminated, but do not have to re-interview in the future.

Luckily, this only accounts for 12 aircraft out of over 200 so it shouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Definately a hit to the DEN guys...hopefully this works out for everyone involved.
What is your source on this?

Yeah, read it again. It doesn't say anything about F9 wanting us to pay for fuel and BB refusing. It says attempts were made to renegotiate our deal. Is someone taking literary license to the memo or is this something that actually happened? That is why I asked about a source.

I'm sure it's a he said/she said type of thing. If you read the PR from F9 it sounds like they dumped us. Everybody is trying to spin this in a positive light for their cause I guess. I also think it might have been a smart move in the long term. If Frontier goes under the company would probably have to take much more drastic actions than what they're doing on their terms.

I have always appreciated F9, they treat jumpseaters right and their management seems like the kind you'd want to work for. I hope they pull through because I have friends at F9 and Lynx. The ultimate losers, as always, are the employees. RP guys being displaced, new hires being told to go home. It all sucks.

Got the call from HR yesterday. I'm in that pool too. I read on their company forum that it was a "mutual" agreement. I must say that RJet does seem to be very proactive about this whole deal. As it was mentioned before, this could have been worse. I sincerely hope that the newly anticipated class dates don't get moved back even further as Delta, United, USAirways, American and Continental have all posted big losses recently. Delta posted a $6.5 Billion dollar loss, 10.5 combined with NWA losses.

My prayers go out for you guys in the 4/21 class.

Default S5/RW 4/21 class cancel

I too was in the S5 class that got the boot yesterday.

We were called into a meeting, but word had already leaked from the prior meeting with the upgrade guys...so we knew what was about to happen.

They gave us the background on the reasoning...high fuel cost etc. no more frontier contract.

They then said that we are not needed at this point in time and we would be paid for the 3 days and an additional 2 weeks at 400 per week hence 960 dollar checks. Along with the check was our positive space tickets home that all left the same day. We turned in all the stuff they had given us manuals jepps etc...

As others have said we supposedly have prefferential hiring but we will see I guess. We had already been assigned employee numbers and seniority numbers so we were not actually furloughed just terminated for our numbers no longer exist anymore. They said if we had to wait more than 6 months we'd have to reinterview but it may just be a phone interview to see what we had been doing since now. I personally was able to get my old job back since my official last day isn't until Friday so they hadn't processed me through the system. This week happened to be my week off. I do know however there will be many others who probably dont have that option. You guys were all a great bunch of guys / girls and I hope to see you in the fall, however I think we may all have to be very cautious if the projected Delta / Northwest merger is still on schedule for completing in the fall. Of course we all know that can take years but thats another story.

Good Luck to all the guys and girls in Denver who will have to move there families and to all the upgrades that have to continue on F/O pay until further notice.
