Likely, US Airways will create some flying for Republic. Republic management helped out Airways management in the past, and I would expect the favor will be returned.
From where? Maybe park some of the older 737s and furlough some mainline guys so RAH can do the flying with 170s? Yeah, theres an idea I'm sure we can all get behind Hate to break it to you but in the current economic environment (or ANY economic environment for that matter) no company is just gonna "create" flying because a regional partner who "helped them out in the past" has excess airplanes laying around. Get real. It's not personal, it's business.

Agreed. It is unlikely that we will see an increase in flying. Frequency will have to decrease, e.g. regional flying. Ticket prices will rise and the white trash vacationers (see: mullet and wife beater) that occupy our cabins will once again be financially ousted from air travel.

I don't think this will be the case. I think they'll find homes but that's quite a tall glut of airplanes at once. I don't want to see our aircraft flying routes at the expense of mainline flying but with three of our codeshares royally ticked with mesa maybe we can find a home at their expense and get the hiring going.

Yeah, I'm being optimistic. The road's going to get bumpier before smoothing out.
