Default US Airways

Just got an email from Doug Parker (keep in mind that I work for PSA) saying that there are talks about a possible merger between US Air and American or US and United. Thought this was interesting coming from so high up.

Not sure if this is Regional and not Major thread material but I figured I'd post in here anyways.

Seems to be the trend. Only the strongest will survive. So for those of us looking to move on in our carrers... Where do we go from here?

Was Doug under the influence when he sent that out?

Maybe he meant to send it out on the first of this month. But look at the bright side, maybe East and West can direct their anger away from each other and towards United or American or better yet, maybe UAL and AA will heal all wounds. Ha, who am I kidding!?

Yeah I don’t know what to take from that email, he didn’t give a straight forward answer (YES or NO) I think the letter was leaning for if it can be done it will be done… I don’t think U.S. Airways will keep their colors merging with United or American. I seems like just yesterday they merged with America West…..
The future should be interesting for all of us, there is still people that want to learn to fly thank God for those CFI ratings!

It would be great if Airways and American merged. Then I would be able to work out of DFW and not commute!

Can you see the mess that would create at the regional level. No way APA would ever allow E170s to be flown by anyone other than AA pilots. I don't think.
