Hell, I don't take home much more than that. Only 5 more months 'till I'm on 2nd year pay!

Yep...I'm just a hair over that myself - after consolidation

We're ALL tired of the cowdung and low pay associated with our job. I don't think I've met a single pilot who's said, "You know, I really enjoy 15-hour duty days with three hours of credit at twenty bucks an hour."
If the pros of this job outweigh the cons for you, go to work and quit bellyaching.
If the cons outweigh the pros, find another job and quit bellyaching.
Here here! You all (I was chastized for using y'all before by one of our ever so smart 20 something spiked hair FO's) would last about 5 mins in the military.

Oh come on now...that's a lame argument if I've ever heard one.

Generation "Why?!?" might as a group be a bunch of spoiled rotten brats, and that might also transfer as a group to "ever so smart 20 something sky-haired FOs"...but you should know by now that comparing military service to flying at a freaking regional airline is like comparing apples and pomegranates.

Besides, in the ANG work rules are better than most regional airlines anyway

No, you're not going to be putting a 20% down payment on a $1,000,000 home right out of college but you won't be wondering if you're going to eat either.
As long as you don't own a home, have a wife or kids, no desire for either in the next several years, don't live on the east or west coast, and don't mind living like a college student, then I agree with you 100%.

I wasn't talking about flying airplanes in the military vs civilian.....I was talking about spoiled Gen Y'ers who would whine and cry like they do constantly on the outside lasting 5 mins with a DI in thier face as they cry about anything that makes them uncomfortable.
